Tips for Excel

Learn something new every day! That has always been my goal.

Having spent most of my adult life as an accountant of varying kinds I tend to think of myself as an Excel expert. I have taken Excel classes, read books, and reviewed websites but I am not immune to learning something new. Imagine my surprise to find these tips on the Quill.com blog:

Learning to Cut and Paste on iPhone

I am a latecomer into the iPhone world and went kicking and screaming lured by Siri doing things for me, while I drove an average of 750 miles a week. For a long time if Siri didn't do it, then I didn't use the feature.

I am never able to "read" those Dummies Books but I sure find their help useful online where Google can sort it out for me. I learn better when I can write it and then immediately apply the information I have learned. I have cut and pasted on my iPhone previously only by accident.

So now I know:  double tap, use the handles to set the copy area. Paste is just tap on the cursor. How easy is that?

Yes She Can

Do you make New Years Resolutions? I usually plan a number of things and see how they work before resolving to follow any of them long term. How do you make it work for yourself?

In my usual mode of procrastination this is my new resolution this year. Write more professionally in my blogs. I have completed half of my current web design and content classes so far. It's time to decide what classes I should take next but lately I have been gathering the resources supplied by my classes and workshops. This is preparation for finals and to refer back.

There are more workshops next week starting on Monday.
